No surprises for poll consumers in 2018
Unlike 2016, even casual observers of political polling should have expected the 2018 midterm election results.
2017 was a good year for (good) polls
Over the past year, rarely has a month gone by without someone asking me if polling is broken. That’s a question that, until recently, I had not been asked for most of my two decades working as a pollster.
An inside straight
The national polls were right. On average, national polls found Hillary Clinton up by 3 points leading up to Election Day. She appears to have won the popular vote by about 1 point.
