Costs Continue to Dominate Health Care Concerns of Massachusetts Residents

The latest Blue Cross Blue Sheild of Massachusetts survey, conducted by Beacon Research, identified health care costs as the most important health care issue facing Massachusetts. The survey found that around 40% of Massachusetts residents routinely put off medical care like visits to the doctor or hospital because of cost concerns. Additionally, three-quarters of residents see medical co-pays or bills as a major problem, up 12 percentage points since 2022.
