A survey commissioned by the gun safety organization 97 Percent, revealed a disconnect between perceived support and actual support for popular gun safety policies among gun owners, with gun owners underestimating the support of their peers. The survey results also challenged popular narratives surrounding gun control and found that a majority of gun owners actually favored common gun safety policies.
